Today marked a very special day for our school with the return to Special Olympics. Our wonderful athletes represented St. Michael's School at a Special Olympics Table Tennis Event held in Castlebar today. There was great excitement on the athlete's faces as they got to step back onto the podium to receive their awards. A huge thank you to all of the organisers, volunteers, umpires and coaches on a very well organised event. We are very proud of our athletes! Looking forward to our next Special Olympics Event!

The Student's at St. Michael's had a fantastic day today taking part in a clay workshop as part of our Creative Schools Project. The children had a wonderful experience expressing themselves through the medium of clay. working with the clay stimulated the children's imaginations and fostered their creativity. The children were fully focused and thoroughly engaged throughout the whole session. They loved choosing their tools of choice and making their individual marks, patterns and designs on their personal piece of clay. Some children enjoyed forming the clay into different shapes and objects and there were also some excellent pinch pots created.

It was a fabulous, stimulating activity that brought immense enjoyment to every student.
